Proud to be recognized as a Top 10 Photonics Solutions Provider by Semiconductor Review Magazine
Lumencor, Inc. has been awarded as one of the top Photonic solution providers. Each year, Semiconductor Review liststhe top 10 companies at the forefront of providing Photonics solutions and transforming businesses, and this year Lumencor, Inc. has made the list with its high quality and high performing light engines.
“We build extremely reproducible, controllable, and stable light engines that can be tailored to meet the optical requirements of the instruments they serve. Tools for profilometry, reflectometry, bright and dark field microscopy, ellipsometry are all benefiting from Lumencor illuminators. Moreover, the light engines can provide precisely the same amount of light from device to device, making any fleet of instruments based on out products, uniquely consistent and reproducible,” states Claudia B. Jaffe, Ph.D., co-founder and Executive VP of Lumencor.
“We start with the optical requirements of the instruments we serve and design lighting that best suits its needs. Our paradigm is to tailor the lighting to serve the OEM’s instruments. For some clients time-to-market is everything and our modular designs enable us to move quickly in a competitive marketplace,” states Steven M. Jaffe, Ph.D., President and CEO.
Lumencor’s light engines are custom designed and manufactured for a broad array of life science equipment including fluorescence microscopes, cellular analysis systems, endoscopes and robotic surgical tools, among others. Lumencor considers themselves as high end and independent integrators due to the customizable components that they provide for their OEM clients. Lumencor’s specially tailored light engines and scanning hardware or screening hardware have positively impacted the companies reputation and awareness, leading to them being approached by major OEM’s for custom solutions.
About Lumencor, Inc.
Lumencor, Inc. was founded in 2006, with headquarters in Beaverton, Or. Lumencor designs and manufacture solid-state illuminators for end users, core labs and industry-leading original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Lumencor’s SOLA light engine® products are designed to replace mercury lamps, the microscope light source traditionally used in research labs around the world. Mercury lamps have been used because of their spectral output and brightness; however, they are notoriously hazardous. Mercury lamps are short lived, provide limited colors and brightness, and they are dangerous.
